General Laborer/ Water Damage Technician

About The Position

Serclean specializes in water mitigation services, helping clients recover from water-related incidents. The Water Restoration Technician removes, replaces, and repairs water-damaged materials and addresses issues caused by water damage. Technicians are often a client's first contact after a traumatic situation, so strong customer service and a willingness to help others are important. The role involves restoring damaged property, documenting drying progress, and working with the management team to ensure customers are well cared for. Technicians may work in crawlspaces, attics, and other tight spaces and use personal protective equipment in water-damaged environments.

Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work overtime as needed and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

IICRC certification in water damage or mold remediation.
1–2 years of structural restoration experience.
2–4 years of construction experience.
2–4 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Address issues caused by water damage and remove and replace damaged materials.
Set up air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air scrubbers to restore damaged property.
Work with the management team to ensure customers are well cared for.
Communicate in a friendly and professional manner with teammates and customers.
Follow company policies to maintain safety, quality, and a professional image.
Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites while following state traffic laws and company policies.
Document drying progress using a phone or tablet.
