About The Position

This position performs entry-level, non-skilled general labor duties in a production environment while maintaining a safe work environment and complying with Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any open entry-level general labor positions. Duties may include working with knives as required while wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE). The position is based in a production-line environment with cold-temperature work areas of approximately 36°F–42°F, food-processing equipment, and moving conveyors. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays. A Shift hours vary by department and range from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Starting pay is $21.10 per hour. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Must be able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 36°F to 42°F.
Must be able and willing to stand and/or walk for 8–12 hours per shift on a production line.
Must be able and willing to use a pinch grip to handle products on a conveyor and place them into trays.
Must be able and willing to reach approximately 10–25 inches to handle products and place trays onto designated conveyors.
Must be able and willing to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
Must be able and willing to stand for extended periods on concrete, grating, or fiberglass ergonomic platforms.
Must be able and willing to apply light force while performing assigned tasks.
Must be able and willing to use both hands simultaneously and perform repetitive hand, arm, and upper-body movements throughout the shift.
Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
Must be able and willing to work with knives as required while wearing all required PPE.
Must complete the additional task after submitting an application to be considered for employment.

Responsibilities

Pick products from a conveyor, place them into trays, and return products to the conveyor.
Reach to remove products from conveyors, arrange products according to specifications, and place trayed products onto designated conveyors.
Work overtime and weekends as required.
