About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in a production environment. The role involves performing assigned production duties while maintaining a safe work environment and complying with Tyson policies and procedures. Depending on the department, the A Shift schedule ranges from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Starting pay is $21.10 per hour. The work takes place on a production line in cold areas of approximately 36°F–42°F, with exposure to food-processing equipment and moving conveyors. Team members must use required personal protective and safety equipment. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Must be able and willing to work in temperatures of approximately 36°F–42°F.
Must be able and willing to stand and/or walk for 8–12 hours per shift on a production line.
Must be able and willing to use a pinch grip to pick products from a conveyor, place products into trays, and return products to the conveyor.
Must be able and willing to reach approximately 10–25 inches to handle and arrange products and place trayed products on designated conveyors.
Must be able and willing to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
Must be able and willing to stand for extended periods on concrete, grating, or fiberglass ergonomic platforms.
Must be able and willing to apply light force while performing assigned tasks.
Must be able and willing to use both hands simultaneously and perform repetitive hand, arm, and upper-body movements throughout the shift.
Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
Must be able and willing to work with knives as required while wearing required personal protective equipment.
Must be willing and able to perform the job's physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
