About The Position

Western Milling’s Buckeye, Arizona facility produces animal feed for livestock, poultry, and pets, offers custom feed formulations, and provides grain storage and handling services. This entry-level role supports production through cleaning, equipment operation, forklift use, and stacking product. The employee may cross-train with other departments, provide backup for other roles, and perform additional duties assigned by the manager or supervisor. The position pays $19.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required for insurance purposes.

Requirements

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift experience; certification is preferred.
Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other production equipment.
Ability to pay attention to detail amid constant distractions.
Ability to communicate concerns or problems professionally to a manager or supervisor.
Valid driver’s license required for insurance purposes.
Continuously lift, move, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds; regularly handle objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
Continuously shovel material; frequently climb ladders and stoop, crouch, bend, push, or pull objects to perform essential job functions; occasionally work at heights of 100 feet.
Vision sufficient to safely perform essential job tasks.

Responsibilities

Clean leftover product around tanks and other equipment.
Operate a forklift to support daily production.
Stack bags of product in a concise and consistent manner.
Cross-train with other departments to support consistency throughout the company.
Provide backup support for other roles as necessary.
Be available for scheduled or call-in overtime as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
