About The Position

Pries is hiring a General Labor Racker for its anodizing operation. No previous experience is needed. The role involves preparing and arranging aluminum products on racks according to production specifications and customer requirements, while inspecting materials for defects and helping ensure safe, quality production. The position works 2nd shift, typically 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., with a shift extending to midnight when required overtime is needed. Shifts are 8–10 hours, Monday through Friday, with every other Saturday depending on production. Starting pay is up to $21 per hour.

Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Receive job instructions and work orders from the Team Leader.
Plan work procedures and gather the required tools and materials, such as wood, racks, spacers, and clamps.
Examine products for defects, including deep scratches, bent material, bowing, dents, and flatness issues.
Report identified defects and discrepancies to the Team Leader.
Rack or stack products according to production specifications and notes to prevent shifting or damage and meet customer requirements.
Change out canes using hand tools and secure them to load bars for safe, successful production.
Affix aluminum to canes using the appropriate clamps for each order to ensure material quality.
Follow safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report unsafe activities to the Team Leader or Safety Department.
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Step into and out of a 13-inch pit.
