About The Position

This role is a part-time, weekend-only position focused on plant sanitation within a manufacturing and operations environment. The primary responsibilities include performing essential functions related to food safety, quality checks, and maintaining good manufacturing practices and housekeeping guidelines. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and meeting OSHA safety requirements. Teamwork, compliance with plant policies, and utilization of Process Excellence tools are also key aspects of the role. The job involves manual labor tasks such as inspection, rework, and sorting, and requires a satisfactory attendance record. Flexibility to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed is essential, as is punctuality. The role may involve working in other general labor positions within the plant and performing other duties as assigned by plant leadership to ensure efficient and effective production processes. Specific tasks may include peeling and opening product for rework, sorting rework, operating manual or electric pallet jacks, and assisting with Baader, palletizing, casing, and plant-wide sanitation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to properly identify product and record accurate data on production reports.
  • Basic math, counting, calculator and basic computer skills.
  • Employee must have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all process CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks required for the position.
  • Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement deviations.
  • Identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper production operation.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines.
  • Follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
  • Perform manual labor tasks such as inspection, rework & sort operations as needed.
  • Engage in teamwork and compliance with plant policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Process Excellence tools to improve plant performance and complete specific projects as directed by Department Team Leaders.
  • Support PE initiatives.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed.
  • Be on-time to work.
  • Be able to work in other general labor positions in the Plant as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
