General Labor I - Baler- 2nd Shift
About The Position
The General Labor I – Baler role moves and disposes of trash and recyclable materials on the production floor within Maker's Pride facilities. The position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, varying noise levels, and changing temperatures. Employees work as part of a team and are expected to communicate respectfully and professionally. The role may require overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as working across shifts. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with a shift differential for second-shift opportunities. Full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package after a qualifying period.
Requirements
- Ability to use an electric pallet jack.
- High school diploma or GED certification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to stand and work with hands throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, and across shifts.
- Ability to work together and communicate respectfully and professionally in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Move recyclable materials.
- Separate recycled materials.
- Operate a compactor.
- Move and dispose of trash.
- Maintain a clean production floor free of debris.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
