About The Position

The General Labor I - Baler moves and disposes of trash and recyclable materials on the production floor at Maker's Pride facilities. The position operates in a manufacturing and team environment, with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Employees must communicate and work together respectfully and professionally. Overtime and work across shifts may be required based on staffing needs and customer demand. The starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package after a qualifying period.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to use an electric pallet jack.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to stand and work with hands throughout the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime as needed based on staffing needs and customer demand, and to work across shifts.
• Ability to work with a team and communicate respectfully and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Move recyclable materials.
• Separate recycled materials.
• Operate the compactor.
• Move and dispose of trash.
• Maintain a clean production floor free of debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
