About The Position

Animas Surgical Hospital is seeking clinical and administrative staff for its hospital, clinics, and new ambulatory surgery center in Durango, Colorado. The position has physical requirements that include lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling 10 pounds or more; stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, handling, and balancing for five or more hours per day; and hearing, seeing, and speaking to perform essential job functions. Work may expose employees to chemicals, solvents, needles and sharps, blood and body fluids, infectious or communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation or radioactive materials and waste, and moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing or equipment may be necessary.

Healthcare personnel immunization and screening requirements align with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices guidance. Required records or evidence of immunity must be provided before the first scheduled workday. Animas Health is a drug-free workplace and conducts a pre-employment drug screen that includes marijuana.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Provide required vaccine records or evidence of immunity before the first scheduled workday, including requirements for Hepatitis B, seasonal influenza, measles, mumps and rubella, varicella, and Tdap.
• Provide documentation of a two-step TB skin test within the past year or a negative TB Gold or T-Spot test within the past six months.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen, which includes marijuana.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 10 pounds or more.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, handle, and balance for five or more hours per day.
• Ability to hear, see, and speak to perform essential job functions.
