About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a General Helper, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. The role involves supporting safe bulk loading and draining operations, executing cleaning and inventory management processes, operating material handling equipment, performing basic preventive maintenance, and supporting labeling and production accuracy.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.
  • Must have high school degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, agriculture, construction or like field required.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts to include weekends and holidays as well as working overtime as needed.
  • Applicants meeting the basic qualifications may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Assess candidates' U.S. person status.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting safe bulk loading and draining operations by monitoring trailer loading and finished product transfers to prevent spills, overfills, and contamination; maintaining clean work areas; and responding appropriately to leaks or emergency situations while working in an outdoor industrial environment and following all safety and regulatory requirements
  • Executing cleaning and inventory management processes for totes and hoses by following established procedures, using solvents, maintaining adequate clean container inventory, and ensuring proper labeling of clean and dirty totes
  • Operating material handling equipment such as fork trucks and pallet jacks to support cleaning, product movement, drum setup, and overall production workflow
  • Performing basic preventive maintenance and supporting production readiness by conducting routine checks on tanks, vessels, and equipment, and assisting with drum setup through staging containers and ensuring correct container selection in collaboration with team members
  • Supporting labeling and production accuracy by printing and applying labels, operating labeling equipment, and ensuring proper identification of process lines, equipment, and finished goods
  • Complying with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties.
  • Contributing to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
