About The Position
This is a full-time, overnight position where you will be responsible for supporting daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, cash handling, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing. You will assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen. You will perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management. You will perform sales transactions in a timely fashion, interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures, and all sanitation and safety requirements. Make recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
Requirements
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Nice To Haves
- A valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent is an asset.
- Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred.
