About The Position

The Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease (IDHLD) is seeking a full-time general gastroenterologist for immediate appointment. The institute is well-established with specializations in hepatology, IBD, motility disorders, therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal surgery, and advanced pancreatic disorders. The Institute is a hybrid between academia and the private sector, combining the best aspects of both. Salary and benefits are competitive and on-call is infrequent.

Requirements

  • Completion of ACGME residency training in internal medicine and fellowship training in gastroenterology.
  • Must possess or be eligible to possess a state of Maryland physician license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of patient care including evaluation, diagnosis, education and treatment.
  • Hold clinics in the surrounding counties (example: Anne Arundel and Baltimore County) in addition to their clinic at Mercy.
  • Opportunities for research and clinical trials.
  • Teaching responsibilities related to ACGME GI Fellowship (affiliated with University of Maryland) and Hepatology Fellowship (non-accredited).
