About The Position

This position performs a variety of manufacturing duties, which may include material handling, parts washing, forklift operation, and welding. The worker sets up and operates industrial equipment, inspects parts for quality, completes required documentation, and assists other operators as needed. The role requires maintaining a clean and orderly work area and following company policies, procedures, and safety practices.

Requirements

Ability to use all required gauges and gauging techniques.
Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards.
Ability to understand and complete all required operator documentation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to identify causes of routine problems and correct them.
Math skills for blueprint reading and SPC.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and machine requirements sufficient to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.
Ability to provide written communication as needed.
Must comply with company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.

Nice To Haves

Some mechanical or technical training.
Forklift operation or material-handling experience.
Experience operating multiple types of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Set up and operate equipment as required, including a Butt Welder, Wire Drum, Straightener, and other industrial equipment.
Perform first-piece inspections, monitor part quality, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Sort and inspect manufactured parts.
Complete required documentation.
Move material when necessary by operating a forklift or using non-motorized devices.
Assist other operators as needed.
Suggest process improvement ideas.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
