About The Position

The General Electrical Superintendent will oversee and manage all electrical construction activities on large-scale projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License preferred.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local electrical codes.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required by project demands.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and coordinate all electrical construction activities, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
Supervise and mentor electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprentices, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to ensure accurate project execution.
Implement and enforce all company and regulatory safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections and meetings.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other superintendents to ensure seamless project integration.
Manage project budgets, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all electrical installations meet industry standards and project specifications.
Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and other necessary documentation.
Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical guidance to the field team.
Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input on constructability and scheduling.
