About The Position

Mid America Health is seeking a part-time General Dentist to provide portable dental services to children at local schools in the Kansas City, Missouri area. The position is 2–3 days per week, Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A full-time opportunity is also available. Supplies, equipment, and support staff are provided, and malpractice coverage is provided by Mid America Health. The role offers compensation of 32% of billed production for school clinic days, with a stated daily average earned of $1,500 or more, travel reimbursement, a 401(k), and a $4,000 sign-on bonus. The work is described as a low-stress opportunity in a non-private-practice setting, treating an underserved population, with no evening or weekend hours.

Requirements

• Current Missouri Dental License.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Proficiency in the listed clinical areas.
• Must be Medicaid certified or willing to become certified.
• Willingness to travel within a two-hour radius.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care on school clinic days.
• Conduct initial screenings.
• Conduct comprehensive oral exams.
• Establish treatment plans.
• Perform extractions.
• Perform fillings.
• Place stainless steel crowns.
• Provide fluoride treatments.
• Apply sealants.
• Perform prophylaxis (prophys).
• Travel within a two-hour radius.
