About The Position
Mid America Health is seeking a Part-Time General Dentist to join their Ohio team. This position involves providing portable dental services to children at local schools, 3-4 days per week, with hours typically from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All necessary supplies, equipment, and support staff are provided. This role is described as a low-stress opportunity in a non-private practice setting, offering a good work-life balance and the chance to serve an underserved population.
Requirements
- Proficiency in all listed dental procedures (screenings, exams, treatment plans, extractions, fillings, stainless steel crowns, fluoride treatments, sealants, prophys)
- Active Ohio Dental License
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
- Medicaid Certified or willingness to become certified
- Willingness to travel within a 2-hour radius
Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive care on school clinic days
- Conducting initial screenings
- Conducting comprehensive oral exams
- Establishing treatment plans
- Performing extractions
- Performing fillings
- Placing stainless steel crowns
- Administering fluoride treatments
- Applying sealants
- Performing prophylaxis (prophys)
