About The Position

The General Dentist supports Willamette Dental’s evidence based treatment philosophy, mission, vision and core values by performing the full scope of general dentistry permitted by state.

Requirements

• Degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), and/or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
• Successful completion of a traditional pre doctoral dentistry program.
• Valid licensure in the specific state(s) where practicing.
• Knowledge of evidence-based dental practices.
• Proficiency with AxiUm electronic records.
• Knowledge of CAMBRA and PEMBRA, with an emphasis on prevention.
• Understanding of risk phases and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of diagnostic terms.
• Information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat oral cavity anomalies.
• Understanding of principles and processes for providing customer and optimal patient experience, including patient needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full scope of general dentistry permitted by state.
• Fulfill all requirements to ensure proper electronic documentation for all care provided to patients.
• Emphasize prevention using CAMBRA and PEMBRA.
• Conduct risk assessments and understand risk phases.
• Diagnose and treat oral cavity anomalies.
• Provide optimal patient experience, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating patient satisfaction.
