About The Position

At Monarch Dental - Schertz, supported by Smile Brands, the General Dentist provides exceptional, patient-centered dental care with clinical autonomy and organizational support. The practice combines the personal feel of private practice with access to experienced colleagues, mentors, continuing education, and operational resources. The dentist helps build lasting patient relationships and contributes to a collaborative clinical community. The role includes comprehensive examinations, diagnoses, and personalized treatment planning; communicating recommendations and treatment options to patients; and coordinating care with hygienists, dental assistants, and other providers. The dentist also leads and empowers the clinical team, stays current with advances in dentistry, technology, and evidence-based care, and upholds standards for ethics, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $200,000–$400,000 per year.

Requirements

DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
Active state dental license or eligibility to obtain one.
Current CPR certification.
Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
Controlled Substance License, if required by the state.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Collaborative approach to working with patients and dental teams.

Nice To Haves

Qualified candidates requiring sponsorship may be considered.
Experience or interest in implants, endodontics, clear aligners, and other areas supported by complimentary continuing education and training.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, patient-centered dental care while practicing at the top of the license.
Conduct thorough examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans.
Clearly communicate treatment recommendations and help patients understand their options.
Build trusting, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Collaborate with hygienists, dental assistants, and other providers to deliver coordinated care.
Lead and empower the clinical team through effective communication, delegation, and daily team huddles.
Stay current with advances in dentistry, technology, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
Maintain high standards of clinical ethics, patient safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
