About The Position
Great Place Construction (GPC), a private construction firm specializing in commercial design/build projects, is hiring workers across construction skill sets. The company is looking for responsible individuals to join its team and train in all aspects of construction work. Work is generally within one to two hours of Sioux Falls, and travel time in company vehicles is paid. GPC describes the role as an opportunity to join at the ground floor and advance as the company grows.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable, with a good attitude.
- Good math skills.
- Knowledge of general safe work practices.
- Ability to use a variety of tools and machines.
- Ability to measure materials or distances and lay out work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Responsibilities
- Assist superintendents, carpenters, concrete workers, and steel workers with construction work.
- Use construction tools and machines, including brooms, hammers, power drills, levels, jackhammers, and pressure washers.
- Measure materials or distances and lay out work using a square, measuring tape, rule, or string line.
- Help load and unload construction materials, including lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
