General Construction Laborer
About The Position
We are hiring a General Laborer for heavy civil and utility construction projects in Charles Town, WV. No prior heavy civil experience is required. If you bring a strong work ethic, rock-solid reliability, and a focus on safety, we will train you on the tools, trade skills, and machinery you need to build a high-paying, long-term career. Requirements
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification upon hire is required.
- Entry level! No prior heavy civil experience required.
- Extreme reliability, punctuality, strong safety awareness, and an eagerness to learn new skills.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
- Prior general construction or pipe laying experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced tradespeople using hand and power tools for trenching, utility setup, and site preparation.
- Operate compaction equipment (rammers, plate compactors, rollers) and set up pipe lasers for proper grade alignment.
- Learn to operate small pieces of construction equipment as you complete site training.
- Assist with staging materials, maintaining trench safety, and ensuring a safe, efficient jobsite.
