About The Position

General Clerk General Clerk Out Patient About River Edge Behavioral Health Serving more than 10,000 Georgians, River Edge continues to be one of the state's leading resources for mental health, substance use disorder treatments and supports as well as individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities. As a General Clerk with River Edge, you will perform a variety of duties in an outpatient office setting. Experience working in a medical or behavioral health practice setting is preferred. You should demonstrate attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Requirements

• At least a high school diploma/GED equivalent
• The candidate must be 21 years of age.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Positive energy person, good communicator
• Can handle and protect confidential information.
• Be able to lift 16 - 20 pounds whenever needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a medical or behavioral health practice setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience or experience in behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the front desk reception, greeting visitors and clients with excellent customer service.
• Checking in clients to see providers or assisting new clients in enrolling in services in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Provides clerical support to office and direct support staff, including tasks like data entry/maintenance, copying/distributing documents, and materials, maintaining record-keeping, and filing systems, etc.
• Provides clerical support within the assigned functional area (i.e. scheduling facilities for maintenance, ordering supplies, alerting security as needed, etc.).
• Collects co-pays and other fees, processing credit card payments.
• Receives, screens, and directs telephone communications and/or answer telephone inquiries regarding River Edge and our services.
• Opens, sorts and routes incoming mail (external and internal), answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.
