About The Position

General Cleaners maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all assigned areas at an educational facility. They perform a range of cleaning duties to maintain the facility’s daily cleanliness. The role is physically demanding and fast-paced, requires attention to detail, and involves working with others and taking direction. The offer is contingent on a background check and fingerprinting, and candidates will undergo E-Verify.

Requirements

Excellent work history.
Ability to work with others and take direction.
Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation.
Must pass a background check and fingerprinting; candidates will also undergo E-Verify.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.

Nice To Haves

Previous cleaning experience.
High school degree or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
Extract carpet and strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish outside areas within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or their designated representative.
