About The Position

HES is seeking General Cleaners for Sweetwater City Schools. General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas and perform a range of custodial tasks to maintain the facility's daily upkeep. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with day and evening hours. Pay starts at $13 per hour and may be higher based on experience.

Requirements

Ability to work efficiently and with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation.
Pass a required background check.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within company production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperature extremes from hot to cold.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and daily upkeep of all assigned areas.
Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, vacuum, extract carpets, and strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish outdoor areas within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Remove snow and ice.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or their designated representative.
