About The Position

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas and perform a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the facility. The work is physically demanding and takes place in a fast-paced environment. Cleaners must work efficiently, pay attention to detail, and follow direction from the custodial supervisor or designated representative. Work schedules may include first shift, second shift, school hours, or summers; both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

Excellent work history.
Team-focused approach and ability to work with others and take direction.
Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation.
Must pass a federal fingerprint background check.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.

Nice To Haves

High school degree (preferred but not required).
Previous cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, vacuum, and extract carpets.
Strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish the outside area within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
