About The Position

Blue Chip Pros is hiring a General Cleaner to perform cleaning activities at an assigned Home Depot facility in Mason. The role keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary, and orderly, and includes related duties as directed by a supervisor or Account Manager. The listed shift is 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Duties include high dusting; sanitizing and spot cleaning surfaces; bathroom cleaning and restocking dispensers; emptying and cleaning trash cans; dust mopping or vacuuming; floor sanitizing; and cleaning outdoor grounds, public common areas, and food court spaces. The cleaner also inspects completed work, reports broken or out-of-order items, and provides courteous service to customers while working quietly and remaining in the assigned area. Additional duties may include floor care, such as stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction and bonneting, and auto scrubbing and buffing floors. Requirements

Knowledge of basic janitorial work operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
Knowledge of basic safe work practices and use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals according to MSDS sheets.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
Ability to communicate sufficiently with coworkers and supervisors.
Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
Ability to maintain the physical condition required for assigned duties, including extended walking, standing, or sitting; operating equipment; lifting and carrying 1–30 pounds; pushing and pulling with 5–35 pounds of force; climbing stairs and ladders; bending, twisting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, and fingering.
Sight, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination sufficient to perform cleaning tasks, maintain safety, and operate equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

Perform high dusting of surfaces above shoulder height, including lights, vents, ledges, and window areas.
Sanitize surfaces below shoulder height and spot clean fingerprints, smudges, and windows using appropriate solutions.
Clean bathrooms, including sinks and toilets, and check and refill soap and paper dispensers as needed.
Empty trash cans, wipe them when needed, and replace liners.
Dust mop or vacuum floors, including under furniture, and dispose of collected dust.
Clean and check outdoor areas, including ash urns, trash cans, sidewalks, flower beds, curbs, parking lots, benches, vending machines, and public-area glass.
Dust mop and spot mop common-area hallways; clean glass and planters; and check for cobwebs and debris.
Clean and sanitize food court tables, spot clean spills, empty trash cans, collect dirty trays, wash trays using a tray power washer, and police outside eating areas.
Sanitize floors, including under furniture and behind doors.
Inspect completed rooms and correct issues with cleaning or furniture placement.
Clean halls, lobbies, stairs, water fountains, and furniture; perform wall spotting and high dusting daily.
Knock before entering an occupied room, treat customers courteously, answer or refer questions, and work quietly.
Report broken or out-of-order items and incomplete assignments to a supervisor.
Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance and stay in the assigned work area unless directed otherwise.
Perform other assigned duties, which may include floor stripping and waxing, carpet extraction and bonneting, and floor auto scrubbing and buffing.
