About The Position

Marsden Central, L.L.C. is hiring a full-time floater cleaner in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The role works Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM and pays $21.25 per hour. The floater may travel occasionally to another account approximately six to seven minutes from the main Target North Campus account and may help clean other areas when staff are absent. The position also involves project work such as floor stripping, carpet work, extractions, floor care, and ladder use. Additional cleaning duties may be assigned by a manager or supervisor. Cleaning duties include sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors; collecting and disposing of trash; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and replenishing supplies; and dusting, wiping, and sanitizing surfaces, fixtures, and furniture. The job requires lifting up to 30 pounds. Applicants must be at least 18, speak English for safety reasons, have a valid driver’s license and insurance, and have reliable transportation. Pre-employment screening includes a drug test, motor vehicle records check, and criminal background check. Employment is subject to SEIU Local 26 membership and the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

Must have excellent attention to detail in cleaning tasks and consistency in work quality.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must complete a pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle records check, and criminal background check.
Must become a member of SEIU Local 26 and complete union membership and dues authorization upon hire; employment terms are governed by the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

Complete project work, including floor stripping, carpet work, extractions, floor care, and ladder use.
Travel occasionally to different accounts; another account is approximately six to seven minutes from the main account.
Assist with cleaning other areas during periods of staff absence.
Perform additional cleaning duties as directed by a manager or supervisor.
Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout the building.
Collect and dispose of trash from bins throughout the building.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
Dust, wipe, and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
