About The Position

Marsden Central is hiring a General Cleaner for a safe and secure building in Bloomington, Minnesota. The role involves cleaning and servicing the building, including floors, waste bins, restrooms, surfaces, glass, stairs, and entries, along with other tasks as assigned. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and pays $20 per hour. This is classified as an essential job. A pre-employment criminal background check is required, and employees must join SEIU Local 26 upon hire; employment terms, compensation, and benefits are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to speak English for safety reasons.
• Must have good attendance and be reliable.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must become a member of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 26 upon hire and complete union membership and dues authorization.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout the building.
• Collect and dispose of trash from bins throughout the building.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Dust, wipe, and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
• Clean glass, stairs, and entries.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
