About The Position

The General Cleaner is a frontline Team Member who performs cleaning and disinfecting duties using 4M’s practices, supplies, and equipment. The position is part time, scheduled Monday through Sunday for 2 hours a day, at $17.00 an hour. The job description is representative only, and duties may vary.

The cleaner helps maintain facilities by wiping surfaces, removing trash, replenishing restroom supplies, and sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. The role also involves observing facility conditions and reporting needed repairs or other issues. Team Members are expected to be reliable, courteous, resourceful, and to follow safety guidelines. The position reports to the Account Supervisor/Account Manager.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Some janitorial experience is required.
• Must successfully complete drug screening and a background check.
• Must comply with safety guidelines.
• Must wear provided 4M apparel and personal protective equipment when necessary, in accordance with position and OSHA requirements.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Learn and use 4M’s cleaning and disinfecting practices with green-sealed certified supplies and equipment.
• Provide friendly, reliable, courteous, and resourceful service as a 4M Team Member.
• Wipe down surfaces, including countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
• Remove trash.
• Replenish towels, soap, and toilet paper rolls.
• Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum.
• Report necessary repairs, replacements, leaks, and drips noticed at the facility.
• Comply with safety guidelines and wear provided 4M apparel and personal protective equipment when required by the position and OSHA requirements.
