About The Position
The Automotive Technician prepares pre-owned vehicles for retail by performing essential inspections and light mechanical repairs. This is a steady hourly, straight-time position with consistent workflow and no reliance on flat-rate hours. The work focuses on essential safety and functionality items in a fast-paced environment, helping ensure vehicles are safely returned to the road and ready for retail.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in general automotive maintenance or repair.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the USA.
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug test, and to provide a valid driver's license.

- Familiarity with multi-point inspections and light mechanical repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform multi-point mechanical inspections on incoming pre-owned vehicles.
- Complete light mechanical repairs, including brakes, batteries, filters, bulbs, hoses, fluids, belts, and similar items.
- Identify safety or drivability concerns and escalate items requiring higher-level diagnosis or repair.
- Accurately document work performed and parts used.
- Meet reconditioning cycle-time goals so vehicles are ready for retail in a timely manner.
- Safely move vehicles throughout service, reconditioning, and retail-ready areas.
- Partner with service managers, advisors, and parts personnel to keep the reconditioning process moving efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.
