About The Position

This role involves a variety of accounting tasks to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The General Accountant will be responsible for checking figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, as well as organizing, securing, and maintaining all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures. They will also record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information, and classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using journals, ledgers, and/or computers. Additionally, the role includes preparing, maintaining, auditing, and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables, completing period-end closing procedures and reports, and preparing, reviewing, reconciling, and issuing bills, invoices, and account statements. A key responsibility is following up on and resolving past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment is received or resolved. The position also involves preparing daily consolidated deposits of cash received, documenting, maintaining, communicating, and acting upon all Cash Variances, and preparing, maintaining, and administering all cashier banks and contracts. The role also requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality, protecting company assets, and ensuring the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Communication skills are important, including speaking clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately, and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns are also essential. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors will be performed.

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
