About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle, including month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales tax compliance. The Accountant will oversee payment runs, assist with invoicing and cash flow management, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail and likes to take on new challenges. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in accounting for a multi-entity structure.
  • ERP Experience.
  • Able to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Organized and high attention to detail.
  • Passionate about learning and motivated to adapt to new systems in a dynamic role.
  • Written and Oral English and French (The position requires regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers and customers based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally).

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle month-end close activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card expenses, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee weekly accounts payable payment runs, bank portal payments, and maintain cash flow requirements.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and sales tax filings.
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by providing accurate financial data and insights.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement process improvements across the accounting function.
  • Support the team during audits by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
