About The Position
A full-time OPS Lab Technician position is available in the Gene Expression and Genotyping of the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (ICBR). This role involves performing various laboratory procedures related to gene expression and genotyping. The technician will be responsible for sample preparation, data analysis, reagent management, and general lab maintenance. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of learning new procedures quickly.
Requirements
- High school diploma, or its equivalent
- One year of relevant experience
- Ability to learn new laboratory procedures rapidly
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with computers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

- Good computer and organization skills
Responsibilities
- DNA and RNA quantification using Nanodrop, Qubit
- Qualification using Agilent Bioanalyzer/TapeStation, qPCR, digital PCR
- DNA, RNA extraction
- GeneTitan Axiom Array process
- Receiving packages
- Performing periodic cleanup of freezers
- Maintaining a detailed list of available reagents
- Other lab-related work as needed
