About The Position

Peak Design is opening its first store in Colorado and is seeking a friendly and knowledgeable individual to welcome customers and serve as a product expert. This role is not a typical retail job, as the store is designed to be a community hub for customers to explore gear, interact with the team, and learn about the brand. The staff will act as hosts, product experts, educators, and instructors, sharing their passion for photography, travel, and life experiences with customers.

Requirements

Expert users of Peak Design gear, or individuals with a genuine interest in quickly developing that knowledge base.
Employees who will take pride in making our store a clean, friendly, inviting place.
Creatives and adventurers (hobbyists or professionals) who can talk shop with similarly-passionate folks and understand their needs.
Love to host, educate, and enthrall others, and also love to listen.
Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality.
Personal or professional interest in or experience with products in our industry.
Constantly in a stationary position for prolonged periods (8+ hours).
Frequently moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions.
Frequently ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps and the like.

Responsibilities

Greet and determine the needs of every customer.
Know every product inside and out and explain its multiple uses and how it fits into the product ecosystem.
Handle product returns, warranty claims, and concerns.
Handle product support issues, both in-person and on the phone.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Internalize customer feedback and provide it to the store manager.
Contribute ideas for making the store more inviting, inclusive, and dynamic.
Maintain an immaculate store environment, both inside and outside.
Ensure products on the floor are neatly assembled and hung correctly.
Maintain a clean and well-organized stock area.
