About The Position

The Gear Advisor II is a mid-level sales role responsible for driving revenue growth through consultative selling, relationship management, and high-performance execution within a contact center environment. This role goes beyond transactional support, requiring ownership of a book of business, proactive customer engagement, and consistent achievement of sales and productivity targets. Gear Advisors II stand above in their product knowledge by actively participating in regularly provided in-person, hands-on product and vendor training. They also become experts in digital tools, and AI-enabled resources to deliver personalized solutions and maximize every customer interaction. Success in this role requires strong sales performance, disciplined schedule adherence, and the ability to operate independently in a competitive, results-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales or relevant music industry experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Deliver personalized, high-value experiences across all customer interactions.
  • Maintain ongoing communication to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Resolve complex customer needs with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets, conversion goals, and key performance metrics.
  • Build, manage, and grow a book of business through proactive outreach, follow-up, and relationship development.
  • Apply consultative selling strategies to deliver complete, solution-based recommendations.
  • Maximize revenue per interaction through effective upselling, cross-selling, and bundling.
  • Take full ownership of individual sales performance and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain high productivity across calls, follow-ups, and outbound activity.
  • Adhere to schedules, attendance expectations, and performance standards.
  • Effectively manage a mix of inbound, outbound, and relationship-driven activities.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization to maximize productivity and results.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of musical instruments, gear, and premium products.

  • Actively participate in required in person product and vendor training.

  • Leverage CRM platforms, digital engagement tools, and AI-based resources to drive efficiency and sales performance.
  • Use data, insights, and technology to personalize recommendations and improve conversion rates.
  • Proactively adopt and optimize new tools and systems to enhance results.
  • Share best practices during in person team meetings.
