About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate helps create an inclusive, customer-first retail environment that supports the company’s mission of helping people experience the joy of making music. The role handles shipping and receiving, inventory control, daily operational tasks, and merchandising so products are ready for customers and stores provide a great experience. Successful associates collaborate well, focus on customers, take initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, protect people and assets by following protocols, and learn the technology and retail systems needed for the work.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare for and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain shrink awareness and control.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
