About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a part-time security/gate attendant in Columbia, Missouri. The position is approximately 22 hours per week, pays $19 per hour, and includes a combination of first- and second-shift work. The officer greets guests in the pickup area, directs them to their purchases when needed, confirms purchases as guests leave, conducts a security round of the pickup yard at closing, and communicates by radio with store employees and management. The officer requests assistance with issues beyond the scope of their duties. Upon hire, the employee must travel to a branch office for orientation and/or training. Per Mar Security Services is a family-owned, full-service security company established in 1953. It has more than 2,600 team members and 25 branch locations, and provides security officer services and other security solutions for homes and businesses.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from the job site and arrive on time for the shift.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Must agree upon hire to travel to a branch office for orientation and/or training.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience in work history is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests as they enter the pickup area and direct them to their purchases when necessary.
Confirm that guests have the correct items and quantities purchased as they exit.
