About The Position

The Gate Access Control Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment at a client site by observing and reporting activities and incidents, actively monitoring the premises, and patrolling assigned areas. The role helps protect client property and personnel, preserves order, and enforces site regulations and directives concerning personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. Officers may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.

The schedule includes weekend hours. The position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to complete patrols, and strong technology skills using a cell phone and computer. No experience is necessary; training is provided. Prior security or customer service experience is a plus. Applicants must pass a drug screen and background check and be able to meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal security licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills.

• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently for long periods; climb stairs; and walk on inclines and uneven terrain.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security or customer service experience is a plus.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is considered a good fit.
