A leading integrated healthcare system in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join a well-supported outpatient GI practice with a focus on comprehensive digestive health and Hepatitis care. Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary care teams

- Interest in teaching and mentoring preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care in the outpatient setting
- Diagnose and manage GI conditions including chronic liver disease and Hepatitis
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for GI patients
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
- Participate in teaching, mentorship, and potential research activities
- Perform a broad range of GI procedures, including EGD, Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, Polypectomy, Liver biopsy, PEG placement, Esophageal dilation, Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Esophageal banding and sclerotherapy, Esophageal stent placement, and additional diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures.
