About The Position

The Gas Station Team Member is responsible for the daily operation of the gas station, including opening and closing procedures, monitoring and maintaining equipment, assisting members with transactions and payments, and complying with safety, environmental, and security standards. The role also involves monitoring sales and cash transactions, maintaining cleanliness, overseeing fuel deliveries, completing reports and checklists, handling cash drawer procedures, conducting price surveys, and following spill-response procedures.

The team member maintains club policies and procedures, supports members and coworkers, and may perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. The position involves exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions, occasional lifting, extended periods of sitting or standing, bending, and occasional exposure to flammable liquids and strong smells.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service and promptly assist members with gas station transactions while maintaining the safety of people, property, and the environment.
• Monitor gas station sales transactions and handle cash transactions when applicable.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and perform custodial duties as needed.
• Monitor gas station reporting, ensure reports are generated, perform checklist procedures, and document and address identified issues.
• Accurately perform opening and closing procedures.
• Regularly monitor and maintain gas station equipment.
• Oversee fuel delivery and perform required preparation procedures.
• Follow safety, environmental, and security standards; understand gas station safety and security features; and inform management and the help desk when alarms are present.
• Perform cash drawer procedures, including cash deposits, verification, documentation, and control procedures.
• Conduct daily competitive price surveys and ensure posted gas prices and club signage match POS pricing.
• Follow spill bucket and spilled-material procedures, including immediate response and cleanup.
• Log visitors and verify proper identification before allowing anyone into the kiosk area; notify the corporate office of non-routine maintenance vendor visits.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Support club policies, procedures, and compliance; act honestly and with integrity; escalate concerns as appropriate; and help provide a safe, positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
• Deliver service excellence, address member concerns, and meet daily GOLD Member Standards.
• Work with the team to maintain club standards, including stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining accurate signage, and keeping areas clean and organized.
• Access and read departmental production or financial reporting and understand how consistent execution affects business results.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
