About The Position

Saskatoon Co-op is seeking a Gas Bar Clerk to join their team. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers on the pump island, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the location, and operating the till system. The clerk will also be responsible for daily reconciliations and reports, managing merchandise, and adhering to company policies. Under the direction of the Station Manager, there may be opportunities to supervise and train staff, as well as perform opening and closing procedures. This position requires a strong service orientation, organizational skills, and knowledge of the merchandise handled.

Requirements

  • Strongly service oriented and capable of assisting and selling to customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum of supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience in the merchandise handled by the department in order to operate efficiently and effectively in the department.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Have a good working understanding of the till operation (StorePoint system).
  • Perform the necessary daily reconciliations and reports.
  • Order, receive, price, and display merchandise as required for assigned areas as specified by the Station Manager.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures.
  • Under the direction of the Station Manager, supervise and train staff in the general operation of the location.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
