About The Position

Provide a service of installation, repair, and maintenance of all district grounds and landscaped areas. Hours/Day: 8 Continuing Role Daily Start/End times: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Requirements

Demonstrated ability and aptitude to perform the responsibilities listed.
Related work experience; e.g., parks, golf course, large industrial.
Horticulture experience; e.g., trees, shrubs, flower beds.
Ability to handle power equipment such as mowers, edgers, sod cutters, pruning equipment, and snow blowers.
Physical strength to perform strenuous outside work.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
Demonstrated ability to relate and work effectively with a diverse group of co-workers and staff in a positive and professional manner.
Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication.
Relates positively to youth and adults of varying socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

Valid Washington State pesticide spray license preferred.
Ability to read blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with hand tools to dig ditches, trenches, and other excavations.
Maintain shrub beds, flower beds, lawns, and other required area.
Apply fertilizers and weed and ground sprays as required.
Remove, transfer, and lay sod as needed.
Operate power tools and equipment including trucks, tractors, etc.
Handle power equipment such as mowers, edgers, sod cutters, and pruning equipment.
Perform routine maintenance work on grounds such as aerating, trimming, pruning, seeding as required.
Perform in snow removal as assigned.
Observe safety rules and regulations at all times.
Perform related duties as requested by supervisor.
