About The Position

Under the direction of the Room Maintenance Team Leader, this role focuses on guest room preventive maintenance and suite care within a 500-room property. The incumbent will perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpet, fixture, and case goods repairs. A key aspect of this role is providing a VIP experience with high attention to detail, maintaining technical logs, and understanding the company's policies and procedures to ensure minimal interruption to business operations. The position also requires promoting positive public/employee relations and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must possess excellent hand/eye coordination as well as close vision.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all preventive maintenance in guest rooms and maintains applicable log books.
  • Repairs to room plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpets, fixtures, case goods and general cleans.
  • Responsible for total suite care in a 500 room property.
  • General maintenance, painting, plumbing, minor electrical repairs, wall covering repair and replacement, furniture/millwork touch-up and refinishing.
  • Understands how to provide a VIP Experience and possesses a high attention to detail.
  • Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s policies, procedures and schedules to insure minimal interruption to business operations and to prioritize projects appropriately.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.
