About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant provides customer service by parking and retrieving vehicles. The role is responsible for creating a positive, efficient, safe, and friendly parking experience for customers and guests through every interaction. Attendants park vehicles in designated spaces, keep track of vehicles and keys, maintain an organized operation, and provide information about the garage when requested. The role also includes assigned cleaning duties and helping facilitate the transition at the end of a shift.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing; able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Able to smile during customer interactions.
Upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
Ability to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test in a manual transmission vehicle.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
Ability to build relationships with customers and stay organized.
Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
Park customers’ vehicles safely and securely in designated parking spots while minimizing the potential for accidents.
Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
Provide an exceptional guest experience through positive and friendly interactions.
Maintain organization at the operation.
Create a positive environment for customers and teammates.
Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
Provide information about garage hours, rates, and promotions upon request.
Maintain a neatly groomed appearance and follow uniform standards on the job premises.
Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
Fill out damage or accident reports.
