About The Position

The Garage Fueler (Spotter) position is based in Edmond, Oklahoma, and works Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The role involves fueling and spotting delivery equipment, accurately following equipment-size and dock-door assignments, and maneuvering tractor-trailers through a wash bay and to dock doors. The employee documents mileage, fuel volume, and equipment numbers and must recognize trailer lengths at a glance.

The position requires extensive walking and climbing in and out of vehicles. Drivers use dash cameras with artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, and improve driver safety performance; the videos may also help exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire acknowledging their understanding of the camera system.

Requirements

• Ability to back a tractor-trailer to dock doors.
• Ability to maneuver equipment through a narrow wash bay.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to adapt to change.
• At least 6 months of heavy-equipment truck-driving experience.
• High school graduate or GED.
• No criminal record.
• Ability to perform extensive walking and climb in and out of vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation.

Responsibilities

• Fuel equipment using the proper fuel.
• Legibly document mileage, gallons, and equipment numbers.
• Maneuver tractor-trailers through the wash bay and wash equipment.
• Back delivery equipment to assigned dock doors using the detailed equipment and door assignment list.
• Recognize trailer lengths at a glance.
• Maintain accurate fueling records.
