About The Position

The Garage - Fueler (also referred to as Spotter/Fueler) backs delivery equipment to assigned dock doors using a detailed list of equipment sizes and door assignments. The role requires accurate task completion, maneuvering tractor-trailers through a narrow wash bay, and washing equipment. The Fueler is responsible for fueling equipment with the proper fuel and legibly documenting mileage, gallons, and equipment numbers. The position also requires recognizing trailer lengths at a glance. Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. The company uses dash cameras with artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, and improve driver safety performance. Videos may also be used to exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire acknowledging their understanding of this practice.

Requirements

At least 6 months of heavy-equipment truck-driving experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to back a tractor-trailer to dock doors.
Ability to maneuver equipment through a narrow wash bay.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain accurate fueling records.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Effective communication skills.
Flexibility to adapt to change.
No criminal record.
Ability to perform extensive walking and climb in and out of vehicles.
