About The Position

The Garage Fueler/Spotter backs delivery equipment to assigned dock doors using a detailed list of equipment sizes and door assignments. The role fuels tractor-trailers with the proper fuel and maintains legible records of mileage, gallons, and equipment numbers. It also involves maneuvering tractor-trailers through a wash bay and washing equipment. The position requires extensive walking and climbing in and out of vehicles, and flexibility to adapt to change.

Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. The company uses dash cameras with artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, and improve driver safety performance. Videos may also be used to exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire acknowledging their understanding of this practice.

Requirements

• Ability to back a tractor-trailer to dock doors.
• Ability to maneuver equipment through a narrow wash bay.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to fuel tractor-trailers and maintain accurate fueling records.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to change.
• No criminal record.
• At least 6 months of heavy-equipment truck-driving experience.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Ability to perform extensive walking and climb in and out of vehicles.

• Some knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation.
