Garage Door Sales and Service Advisor
About The Position
Accurate Door is seeking a Garage Door Sales and Service Advisor who can pair mechanical ability with strong communication skills and help homeowners feel confident in the solutions they select. This position is a great fit for someone who is personable, coachable, mechanically inclined, and motivated by craftsmanship, customer service, and performance-based earning potential. You will diagnose problems, explain options in a clear and professional way, complete high-quality repairs, and deliver a positive customer experience from the first conversation through the finished job.
Requirements
- Strong customer-facing skills and high emotional intelligence
- Mechanical aptitude; garage door experience is helpful but not required
- Confidence in discussing solutions and pricing without using a pushy sales approach
- Comfortable being evaluated on performance, quality, and customer outcomes
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check after a conditional offer, if required for the role
Responsibilities
- Run residential garage door service and repair calls in the field
- Perform thorough inspections of garage door systems and identify safety, reliability, and performance concerns
- Communicate findings clearly and present appropriate repair or replacement options
- Complete repairs and installations cleanly, efficiently, and correctly
- Offer maintenance plans when they are a good fit for the customer
- Create positive customer experiences that lead to reviews, referrals, and repeat business
- Document completed work accurately and communicate effectively with the office team
