About The Position

The Garage Door Installer installs and services garage doors and garage door openers in accordance with customer needs and organizational priorities. The role involves installation, repairs, customer service, handling materials, communicating job status to the Manager, and inspecting and maintaining equipment and vehicles. The installer may also assist with insulation installation as workload requires and must follow company safety procedures, policies, and applicable traffic laws. The position includes regular physical work and exposure to the elements.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive, quality-centered environment.
Initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Safety-consciousness.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a residential or commercial installer is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install garage doors and garage door openers at job sites.
Perform service and repairs on garage doors and door openers.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Load and unload supplies and materials.
Communicate job status and key issues to the Manager.
Perform routine pre- and post-inspections of equipment and vehicles; maintain equipment logs and inform the supervisor of deficiencies.
Prioritize work according to business needs and supervisor direction.
Assist with insulation installation when workload requires.
Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
Follow company safety standards, procedures, policies, and employee handbook requirements.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
