About The Position

Graduate teaching assistants are generally assigned to assist with course instruction. The nature of the assistance can involve a variety of activities such as: 1. Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory. 2. Meet with and/or tutor students, hold office hours, prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or laboratory. 3. Grade student assignments that require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory. 4. Assist with other instructional related activities in the department.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Economics or related fields.
  • GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position. Applicants should have a currently valid minimum speaking score of 26 on the TOEFL internet-based test (iBT) or an overall IELTS score of 8. The Duolingo English Test cannot be used to satisfy the English language requirement.
