About The Position
The College of Education seeks Graduate Research Assistants to support faculty-led research. Graduate research assistants are generally assigned to individual or research teams. This position provides hands-on experience in educational research, data analysis, and scholarly dissemination.
Requirements
- Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook
- Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in the College of Education, and Educational Admin and Foundations program.
- Experience with research methods or data analysis
- Familiarity with research or data software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo)
- Experience with academic writing (APA style preferred)
- Must be eligible for employment in the United States and at Illinois State University and/or for the number of hours required for the position.

- Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong organizational skills (e.g., deconstructing complex tasks, organizing and prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines).
Responsibilities
- Conducting literature reviews and summarizing findings
- Assisting with research coordination and project tasks
- Collaborating with faculty and research teams
- Assisting with data collection, management, and analysis
Benefits
- Salary Rate / Pay Rate $755 for 0.25 FTE appointment; $1,510 for 0.5 FTE appointment
